# How do I turn off AI Auto-Cancellation?

At **Chargeback**, our **AI Auto-Cancellation** feature is designed to make subscription management completely effortless. Whenever we detect a new **subscription** or **free trial**, our AI takes action automatically—canceling it on your behalf to prevent unwanted charges. You’ll always have a **window of time** to opt out before a cancellation is processed.

However, we understand that some users prefer more control over their cancellations. If you’d like to disable **AI Auto-Cancellations**, follow these simple steps:

1️⃣ Open the **Chargeback app** and navigate to the **Accounts** tab.

2️⃣ Tap on the **Alerts** tab.

3️⃣ Locate the settings for **AI Free Trial Cancellations** and **AI Subscription Cancellations**.

4️⃣ Toggle them **off** to disable automatic cancellations.

Once these settings are turned off, you’ll still receive notifications about new subscriptions and free trials, but **no cancellations will happen automatically**—you’ll have full control over what gets canceled and when.

If you ever want to turn **AI Auto-Cancellations** back on, simply follow the same steps and toggle the settings **back on**.
